Initial Consultation and Estimate
The curbing process begins with a free consultation to discuss your vision and take precise measurements for an accurate estimate. This 30-minute session includes reviewing color options and patterns. You can schedule your project immediately or contact us later, and we’ll send a detailed digital quote.
Pre-Installation Meeting:
Before installation, the Owner or designer will meet with you to confirm the layout. We’ll use spray paint to outline the proposed curbing, providing a clear visual of the final design. This step ensures alignment and allows for any last-minute adjustments.
Day of Installation
On installation day, we’ll review the project details one last time, addressing any questions or changes to meet your expectations. We aim to keep you informed and satisfied throughout the entire process.
Preparation
Our team sets up the equipment while keeping your yard clean. The heaviest item we typically use is a wheelbarrow. We’ll also connect a hose to your water supply to mix the concrete.
Trenching
We cut out the grass along the spray-painted outline using a bed edger, creating a path for the curb. The ground-up soil can be reused by you or taken away by us.
Mixing and Extruding Cement
Next, we mix our special concrete blend for a strong, lasting curb. The mix is transported in a wheelbarrow to the curb machine, where it’s shaped and finished. We add steel cable reinforcement to prevent separation and heaving.
Finishing
Our skilled finishers smooth the curb for a polished, professional look.
Stamping and Control Joints
Enhance your landscape with a variety of stamp designs. Stamps are applied with a release agent for clear patterns. Control joints are cut about every two feet to prevent cracking.
Sealing
The final step is sealing the curb to protect it from UV rays and color fading. We recommend resealing every two years. Homeowners can do this using our suggested sealers.
Enjoy Your Curb
Except for sealing, everything is finished in just one day, giving you a beautiful, low-maintenance landscape. Sealing is done after the curb has cured.
